Michael’s been having a blast working with his buddy Darren Doyle – the co-host of the hit HGTV “Consumed” from Paperny Entertainment. Not only is he helping Darren build things to help families overcome their clutter problems, but he’s filming the projects from plan to install and cutting short “design tips” for the show’s website and Youtube channel. There are ten in all for season 1 with ten more to come when season 2 premiere’s this Fall.

10-year-old Robbie Dudra organized a skate to raise money to end homelessness. The event took place on February 10, 2012 at the Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex in Surrey, BC and was sponsored by the Surrey Homelessness and Housing Society. The fundraiser was a huge success! It  gives you a taste of co-op life as seen through the eyes of co-op members and shows you how co-ops build real communities. You’ll also see how a membership association like CHF BC builds the community of housing co-ops in British Columbia.

Novel Pictures had the privilege of attending this great event held at the Surrey Urban Mission as part of Homelessness Action week.

This video was created by Novel Pictures for the Surrey Homelessness and Housing Society. It tells the story of 5 people who were homeless, or at risk of homelessness and how their lives were impacted by programs and facilities funded by the society.

Michael created this promo for the Reals Estate Foundation of BC’s second Land Awards Gala, to be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

The Land Awards recognize initiatives which demonstrate leadership, innovation, and collaboration related to the sustainable use and conservation of land in British Columbia.
