Novel Pictures had the privilege of attending this great event held at the Surrey Urban Mission as part of Homelessness Action week.

This video was created by Novel Pictures for the Surrey Homelessness and Housing Society. It tells the story of 5 people who were homeless, or at risk of homelessness and how their lives were impacted by programs and facilities funded by the society.

Michael created this promo for the Reals Estate Foundation of BC’s second Land Awards Gala, to be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

The Land Awards recognize initiatives which demonstrate leadership, innovation, and collaboration related to the sustainable use and conservation of land in British Columbia. The awards celebrate and honour the non-profit organizations, private companies, and government bodies behind the initiatives…and they highlight the dynamic, forward-thinking people who make it all happen—leaders in creating sustainable communities and making BC a great place to live.

In addition to the Land Awards presentations, the gala evening will feature a keynote address by William McDonough, internationally renowned architect, environmentalist, and co-author of Cradle to Cradle.
